Unreliable electricity and internet connectivity in health facilities endangers millions of people who can’t get refrigerated vaccines or lights for nighttime births and emergency surgeries. The new Abt-led USAID Healthcare Electrification and Telecommunications Alliance (HETA) will mobilize private investment to deliver reliable, renewable power and digital connectivity for 10,000 health facilities in sub-Saharan Africa.
